Saving New York Farms

The State of New York is at a pivotal time in its efforts to protect farmland and support the economic viability of New York’s farmers. Last year's efforts demonstrated the the highest level of farmland protection activity that New York has ever seen!

Yet, this incredible amount of action is coming at a time when the State of New York and dairy farmers are going through some of the worst economic conditions ever experienced.  As a result, state funding for the Farmland Protection Program, and many other important agricultural and land conservation programs, are severely threatened and our state may lose a large number of dairy farms.
